RELEASE: FitWorth and Mayor Price Host 1st Annual Fete en Blanc

FitWorth and Mayor Betsy Price are hosting a picnic in white in the moonlight on April 1st. The location is top secret until 24 hours before the event, making this an April Fools’ Day to remember.

This event will be the first annual Fete en Blanc, a unique celebration of the FitWorth healthy city initiative, designed to highlight the importance of addressing childhood obesity and building a healthier future for Fort Worth. With gourmet picnics, music provided by a high-school orchestra from Fort Worth ISD, and a mysterious auction, this is not an evening to be missed. Attire is white picnic chic with flair beyond compare!

The event will also engage guests in making the evening magical, with everyone bringing their own place settings, including plates, placemats, silverware, glassware and smiles. The best table setting of the evening will receive an additional surprise. The auction will provide an opportunity for guests to connect with one another, functioning as a White Elephant auction in the fashion of a wine pull. Auction items will be completely wrapped in white, so guests won’t know what they’re getting until after they’ve purchased it. They will then have the chance to trade with table neighbors, for foodie, fitness, and family-friendly auction items.

By promoting the unique and innovative partnerships that FitWorth has built in the Fort Worth community and the future of health initiatives in the community, the Fete en Blanc will bring Fort Worth leaders and committed new friends together to impact the future of our city.

Tickets can be purchased for $65 per person at fitworthfete.eventbrite.com.

All proceeds directly support the mission of FitWorth in our community, providing youth with the opportunities to actively choose to fuel up and move.
