The 13th Annual District Walk is this Saturday, May 12th. The start time is 9:00 and the walk is being hosted concurrently at all traditional high schools. You can find the list here. If you’re looking for a great grooving experience, head over to Arlington Heights HS. They always have a huge turn out and have tons of student volunteers. South Hills HS is having a health fair after, so head out there if you’re looking for some healthy living tips in addition to the walk.
The District Walk is a home grown event hosted by FWISD’s Health and PE Department and serves to encourage the community to use school property for physical activity. Getting enough daily physical activity every day is essential for health and walking is an easy way to get the necessary daily 30 minutes.
The walk is free and the first 100 people at each site with get their choice of commemorative t-shirt of water bottle.
